The innovation gap in FMCG is growing – here’s how we close it

With my 20+ years in FMCG innovation have taught me a hard truth, companies aren’t struggling with creativity, they’re struggling with clarity.

Despite digital acceleration, many teams still use fragmented processes with spreadsheets, siloed insights, and decision-making driven by gut feel.

Over the years within FMCG innovation I have developed my personal methodology, a modernized stage gate model that merges structured decision points with updated data.

When I saw that TasteForge could keep these data updated and re-use them over and over, and handle multiple innovations at once, I was stoked. This would save time, an in many ways TasteForge is the system I wish I had 10 years ago.

Looking forward, I believe the product innovation teams will still do the job, but aided with decision support helping to reduce product failure, and creating a new innovation standard for everyone to enjoy the benefits of.
